Jacquelyn Keaton, MS

I-O Psychologist

Foundational Leadership Advisory Board

Atlanta, GA

Jacquelyn's Bio:

I am currently a graduate student in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology Master’s program at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, and I joined this project because it coincided with the topic of my thesis (understanding burnout in police work). This project has given me the opportunity to work with the local police department to apply what I’ve learned, gather data, and use my research to contribute to this program.

Jacquelyn's why:

I am motivated to participate in this project because I am interested in researching and understanding high-risk occupations, and this project provided a unique opportunity to have honest and vulnerable conversations with law enforcement officers about their profession. Additionally, research on police work has not been thoroughly updated over the last 25 years, and I think that updating the research on this topic is incredibly important at this moment in time as our country grapples with the issue of police misconduct.
